2022 West Virginia Immunization Summit

Advanced registration for the 2022 WV Immunization Summit has closed. 

It’s back! The Eleventh Annual West Virginia Immunization Summit is scheduled for Friday, June 10, 2022 at the Summersville Arena and Conference Center, in Summersville, West Virginia, with a Pre-Conference Opportunity scheduled for June 9th. The Summit is an educational event targeted towards public and private organizations with an interest in addressing and resolving immunization issues in West Virginia. Various sessions at the Summit will be targeted toward healthcare and public health professionals, school nurses and administrators, business leaders, consumers, and others interested in protecting West Virginians from vaccine-preventable diseases. The Immunization Summit will also recognize and celebrate the 25th Anniversary of West Virginia Immunization Network (WIN).

Annual WIN Awards Luncheon and Celebration of WIN’s 25th Anniversary will be held at the Summersville Arena and Convention Center during the Immunization Summit on June 10th from 11:45am to 1:15pm. The purpose of the Annual WIN Awards Luncheon is to recognize those whose tireless work and innovative strategies have improved immunization coverage levels throughout West Virginia. Anyone wishing to purchase tickets for other guests, may purchase tickets to the Awards Luncheon for $25.

A Pre-Conference Opportunity will be held on June 9th, 2022 at the Summersville Arena and Convention Center. This includes training on Using Motivational Interviewing to Improve Vaccine Uptake. Two sessions times are available: 9:00 am – noon or 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm and are limited to 30 participants each. Registration for the pre-conference trainings is separate from the Immunization Summit RegistrationRegistration has closed for this event.

Registration Rates for June 10th Immunization Summit:

  • Advanced 2022 Immunization Summit Registration (until June 3rd): $50.00 (includes Awards Lunch) Closed-
  • On-Site Registration: $75 (includes Awards Lunch) Check or credit card only. (Checks should be made payable to: The Center for Rural Health Development, Inc.) 
  • Student Rate: $30.00 (includes Awards Lunch)
  • Annual WIN Awards Luncheon Tickets (for those who are not registering for the Immunization Summit): $25.00

Lodging:

Room blocks for the Immunization Summit are being held at the Hampton Inn (5400 W Webster Rd, Summersville, WV 26651) for the evenings of June 8th and 9th, at a rate of $115/night + tax. To reserve a room in this block, please call (304) 872-7100 and use code: Center Rural Health Development when making a reservation to take advantage of the room block rates. The room block closes May 22nd.

Continuing Education:

Disclosure: Information concerning faculty, speaker and planning committee relationships will be available and disclosed to the audience from the podium. The presenters and planning committee have disclosed that no commercial relationships exist.

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by WV Immunization Network and CAMC  Institute for Academic Medicine. CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physicians-.  The CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 5 hours for AMA PRA Category I Credit(s)Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses The CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This offering has been approved for 5 contact hours (JA0026-22-22-446)

Pharmacy – The CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.  To receive credit, participants must complete the sign-in sheet, attend each session and complete an evaluation. ACPE credits will be posted online to the CPE Monitor within six (6) weeks following the activity. This knowledge based activity provides 5 contact hours (JA0006133-9999-22-059-L06-P)

Social Workers- CAMC Health Education and Research Institute is an approved provider of continuing education by the West Virginia Board of Social Work Examiners. This program has been approved for 5 hours of social work credit. Approval number #490045.
