The Annual West Virginia Infectious Disease and Immunization Summit is scheduled for June 13 and June 14, 2024, at the Summersville Arena and Conference Center, in Summersville, West Virginia. The June 13th track for this two-day conference is being held in partnership with the West Virginia Office of Epidemiology and Prevention Services. Participants will be introduced to the steps for investigating an infection control breach and conducting a patient notification. Sessions will include interactive activities and utilize documents including those necessary for completing an infection control assessment, reviewing laboratory results, and setting up a vaccination clinic. There will also be a special antibiotic stewardship spotlight. The Immunization Summit will be an action-oriented event targeted toward a wide variety of both public and private organizations. This year, the Summit will feature 3 national presenters in addition to state and local experts. Lunch will be provided both days as well as morning and afternoon refreshments.
Various sessions at the Summit will be targeted toward healthcare and public health professionals, school nurses and administrators, business leaders, consumers, and others interested in protecting West Virginians from vaccine-preventable diseases.

All session evaluations must be completed by July 8, 2024, to receive CE credit for this event. Participants must have attended all sessions and complete each individual evaluation to receive credit for each day of the conference. We also appreciate your feedback on the overall evaluation available for each day.
Participants who attend June 13th and complete each session evaluation are eligible to receive 5.75 hours of continuing education. Participants who attend June 14th and complete each session evaluation are eligible for 5 hours of continuing education.
