WIN’s membership consists of more than 400 public and private stakeholders who work to improve immunization rates across the lifespan by reducing the health and fiscal burden related to vaccine-preventable diseases in West Virginia. Membership in WIN is free and open to those with a passion for improving immunization rates in our state. Membership allows access to multiple training sessions, educational materials and networking opportunities.
WIN’s mission, core values and goals
WIN’s mission is to protect West Virginia residents, across the lifespan, against vaccine-preventable diseases and emerging public health threats. We achieve our mission through the development and implementation of comprehensive evidence-based strategies, in collaboration with both statewide and community-based partners.

The goals that guide the development of WIN’s strategic plan are:

Immunization coverage rates for children, adolescents, and adults, including under-immunized populations, will be improved and sustained across West Virginia
- Policies that protect West Virginians from vaccine preventable diseases will be promoted and advanced at the local, state, and national levels
- Disseminate timely and accurate information regarding immunization and emerging infectious diseases affecting West Virginians
- Continue to grow, diversify, and strengthen our statewide coalition to achieve the mission of WIN
Regional Coalitions:
WIN has formed several regional coalitions to help further its mission throughout West Virginia. WIN members are encouraged to take part in a regional coalition:
- Northern Regional WIN Coalition: Meets in Morgantown, WV
- Eastern Regional WIN Coalition: Meets in Martinsburg, WV
- Southern Regional WIN Coalition: Rotates between Beckley and Lewisburg, WV
