Webinar: Surveillance and Prevention of Influenza and Other Respiratory Diseases

The annual influenza webinar will provide key updates on surveillance for and prevention of influenza and other respiratory viruses, including the CDC’s updated recommendations for influenza vaccination. This webinar will also provide an overview of the ACIP and CDC recommendations for the RSV vaccine. The webinar will cover risk recognition as it applies to healthcare and other important updates for surveillance activities planned for the 2023-2024 influenza season.

Webinar Objectives:

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the recommendations for influenza and RSV vaccination;
  • Explain and apply the concept of risk recognition to infection control actions; and
  • Describe the role of hospital and outpatient facilities for influenza surveillance activities.
