Welcome to Wild, Wonderful & Healthy Charleston West Side REVIVE

What is Wild, Wonderful & Healthy WV?

No matter what your respective role is – to mitigate the opioid crisis, to ensure our children are ready for school and adults are ready to work, or to support economic growth – it all begins with healthy West Virginians. No one of us alone will have all the answers, but the direction we must go is clear, and together we can achieve our vision of a healthy West Virginia. West Side’s Vision

Our vision is a community where diversity thrives, and all can live in prosperity and good health.

Lifelong Learning

The priority issue the CORE team has chose to focus on is Lifelong Learning. Lifelong Learning is about a good education for all. An education that ensures young people, regardless of back ground or ability, are set up for success, and have the opportunities to reach their full potential. An education that launches them into meaningful career in which they can continue learning and growing.

Over the next few months, we will be developing our Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). A CHIP is a 3-5 year strategic plan that will be focused on Lifelong Learning, typically organizations involved in the cradle to career, higher education, businesses who want to develop a workforce for careers in their organizations, etc. The CHIP will describe the strategies we want to pursue to strengthen Lifelong Learning in our community. Once the CHIP is developed, the next steps will be to determine what steps/tasks will be completed over the next 12 months to begin to operationalize our CHIP. So, stay tuned!
