March is Women’s History Month, and the West Virginia Immunization Network would like to recognize and celebrate the contributions of women in West Virginia who are making history by fighting vaccine-preventable diseases.
We invite you to nominate an outstanding woman in West Virginia who is making a significant impact against vaccine-preventable diseases to be recognized during the 2022 Women’s History Month. We will recognize selected nominees on social media during the month of March.
Nominate a WV woman or a team of women who are going above and beyond in their work each day to increase vaccination rates across their community and in West Virginia. A single nomination or a group/team may be submitted. Nominations due by February 16, 2022 at 5:00 PM. *Women that have been previously recognized as WV Woman Making History are not eligible for recognition again, unless they are part of a team that was not previously recognized.
Nominations will be reviewed and selected by members of the WIN Steering Committee. Selected nominees will be recognized on the West Virginia Immunization Network and The Center for Rural Health Development’s Facebook accounts between March 2nd and 30th. The Center for Rural Health Development staff will contact nominees to request their permission prior to posting on social media.
