The Center for Rural Health Development, Inc is proud to announce the 2022 West Virginia Rural Health Leader Recognition Program.
November is National Rural Health Month and The Center for Rural Health Development in partnership with West Virginia Rural Health Association and West Virginia Office of Rural Health is proud to recognize the opportunity to “Celebrate the Power of Rural” by honoring the selfless, community-minded spirit that prevails in West Virginia. These recognitions will be presented to individuals and organizations in who have dedicated their time and talents to improving health and health care in rural communities throughout West Virginia.
Do you know someone who has gone above and beyond to improve rural health? Submit a nomination for an individual, team, or organization who has forged innovative programs and services, or displayed outstanding leadership in improving rural health. A single nomination or a group/team nomination may be submitted.
Please take a moment to nominate a West Virginia leader or group in recognition of National Rural Health Month. Selected nominees will be recognized throughout the month leading up to National Rural Health Day on November 17th.
Nominations due by Friday, October 7, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.

Nominations will be reviewed and selected by an ad hoc committee made up of representatives from the WV Office of Rural Health, the WV Rural Health Association, and the Center for Rural Health Development. Selected nominees will be recognized on The Center for Rural Health Development’s social media accounts during the month of November. The Center will contact nominees to inform them of their selection for this recognition and request their permission prior to posting about them and their photo on social media.
