SUMMARY:2025 Appalachian Health Leadership Forum
DESCRIPTION:Join us May 1 & 2\, 2025 to learn about Strengthening Prosperity & Community Throughout Appalachia!\nStonewall Resort & Conference Center\, Roanoke\, WV\nRegistration for this event has closed. \nWhether you serve on the local subsidiary board of a health system\, a board of a local health department\, or the board of a community health center\, critical access hospital or rural hospital\, the Forum is for you. Health care and public health boards and their leadership are beginning to work collaboratively with other sectors in their communities to address social determinants of health to create a culture of health that will unleash economic prosperity in their communities. This is the next step beyond the “population” health work\, i.e. that work focused on addressing social determinants of health in your patients\, you are currently doing. The Forum will provide you the tools and knowledge that you need to impact the health of all who live in the communities you serve. \nThe Appalachian Health Leadership Forum will focus on two areas: \nWe know that the community conditions where we live\, work and go to school have a great impact on our health long before we ever see a healthcare provider. Thus\, the Forum will explore strategies related to community health improvement planning to strengthen your capacity to work with business\, government\, religious\, education\, and other leaders to develop a more coordinated\, strategic approach to identifying community priorities and taking coordinated action to achieve local economic and health priorities. Day One of the Forum will focus on community health improvement strategies to address social determinants of health and advance the vital conditions for health and well-being in your communities.  \nRegardless of the type of organization you serve\, board members must consider their governing style\, and ensure that they are performing at the highest level. The consequences of mediocre governance can have significant impacts on the performance of the organization\, as well as the health of those who live in the communities you serve. Day Two of the Forum will feature state and national experts on board governance best practices. \nAgenda:\nClick here for the 2025 Appalachian Health Leadership Agenda. \nRegistration Information:\nRegistration for this event has closed. \n\n\n\n2025 Registration Prices:\n\n\nFull Conference Registration (price includes breakfast and lunch on both days and evening reception on May 1st): $350.00\n\n\nMay 1st Only (includes breakfast\, lunch and evening reception): $195.00\n\n\nMay 1st Evening Reception Guest Ticket: $25.00\n\n\nMay 2nd Only (includes breakfast and Awards Lunch; does not include Thursday evening reception): $185.00\n\n\nMay 2nd Awards Lunch Guest Ticket: $70.00\n\n\nStudent Full Conference Registration Rate (includes Thursday and Friday Sessions and all meals noted above): $200.00\n\n\n\n  \nAccommodations:\nTo make a reservation with Stonewall Resort\, call Stonewall Resort at 304-269-8882. \nExhibit and Sponsorship Opportunities:\nExhibitor\, advertising\, and sponsorship opportunities are available.
