Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the United States. This disease is a bacterial infection which can cause mild to severe illness in humans and is caused by a tick bite. This webinar will discuss the prevalence of Lyme disease in West Virginia and participants will be able to describe the disease, how it is transmitted, ways to mitigate exposure, and treatment options for those who contract Lyme disease.
