Successful Transformation Strategies of the New Health Care Environment


Thomas C. Royer, MD In 2006, 2007 and 2008, Dr. Royer was nmaed as one of the Most Powerful Physician Executives in Healthcare by Modern Physician Magazine. He was also named in 2010 to Becker's Hospital Review's annual list of the 60 best leaders in hospitals and health systems. Dr. Royer will discuss the critical strategies needed to improve and enhance the delivery of quality health care services in today's rapidly changing health care environment.

Improved Population Health through Health Care and Public Health Collaboration


Lawrence Prybil, Ph.D. Norton Professor in Healthcare Leadership, University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY. In addition tohis work with the University of Kentucky, Dr. Prybil is Professor Emeritus at the University of Iowa, where he served as Dean in the UI Colloege of Public Health. Dr. Prybil also held positions in two of our country's largest nonprofit health systems for nearly twenty years, including ten years as CEO for a six-state division of the Daughters of Charity Health System. He has authored or co-authored over 80 publications and is recognized for his expertise in organizational govenanced and leadership and currently is directoing the third in a series of studites regarding governance structures, practices and cultures in nonprofit hospitals and health systems. Dr. Prybil will discuss how health care providers can reach out to other key local stakeholders and create partnerships focused on assessing and improving community health.
